Musiq Soulchild is an American R&B artist under Def Soul label. His debut album, Aijuswanaseing was released in 2000 and released his sophomore album Juslisen or simply known as Musiq.

Early Life
R&B singer Musiq Soulchild(Talbin Johnson) was born on September 16, 1977 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but was raised in Patnum County, Georgia along with eight of his siblings. During his teens, Musiq had to move back to Philadelphia. He started playing gigs Philly until the young singer got the attention of Def Jam Records and signed him in.
Early Career
In 2000, Musiq released his debut album, Aijuswanasang, read as “I just want to sing”. The songs in the album are mostly written by Musiq and he had the help of producer Jazzy Jeff , head of A Touch of Jazz production. Singles like “Love”, “Just Friends (Sunny)” and “Girl Next Door” were being played in MTV, BET and other urban radio stations. The album was well received by critics. Two years later, Musiq released his follow-up album, Juslisen, read as “just listen”. He still had continued support from MTV by playing his videos of the single “Dontchange” and Halfcrazy”. Musiq has released the videos of "Whoknows" and "Forthenight" from his 2003 album, Soulstar. In 2007, his fourth album, Luvanmusiq, was issued. So far, Musiq is doing great in his career.
