Moloko is an English Dance Duo who rose to fame via their album, Things to Make and Do.

Moloko was formed in 1995 by, "Róisín Murphy" and "Mark Brydon". Róisín was born in Arklow, Republic of Ireland. After her farter, a furniture maker became insolvent because of failed inventions, they decided to transferred in Manchester, England. She met Mark in a party. Mark was the founder of Fon Studios in Sheffied. After their constant dating, they decided to formed a duo which they named it to, Moloko. They released their first single, "Where Is The What If The What Is In Why?" in 1995 which was included in their debut album, Do You Like My Tight Sweater?. The album sold over 250,000 copies worldwide. Their next album, I Am Not A Doctor was issued in 1998 under Echo Recors. The album features the single, "Sing It Back". In 2000, they issued their next album, Things to Make and Do which became a Certified Platinum. Their relationship as partners ended in 2001. After their breakup, they released their next album, Statues. The album is a Certified Silver. After the release, the duo decided to part ways. Róisín went solo, while Mark concentrates in producing albums.

  • The band's name is borrowed from Anthony Burgess' classic novel 'The Clockwork Orange', in which it means either 'milk' or 'method of narcotic indigestion'.
