Miranda Lambert is a Grammy nominated Country singer who rose to fame via her debut album, Kerosene which debuted at number one on the Country Album charts.

Miranda Lambert was born on November 10, 1983 at Longview, Texas. She was raised in Lindale, Texas. Her parents worked as private investigators. Her father is also a country guitarist. Miranda started singing by joining several talent contests under the training of her father.
In 1999, Miranda appeared at the show, Johnny High Country Music Review in Arlington, Texas. The same show that helped launched the music career of Leann Rimes. Her parents encouraged her to pursue her singing career. While attending High school, she made her first professional singing performance at the Reo Palm Isle Ballroom in Longview, Texas, a long running venue that showcased the performance of Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson. She performed there from 2001 until 2002.
In 2003, she was a finalist of USA Network talent competition, Nashville Star. In that same year, she signed a recording contract under Sony Records. In 2005, her debut album, Kerosene was released. It debuted at number 1 on the Country charts. Her second album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was released last May 2007.
