Mindy Smith is an American singer and songwriter from New York. She is known to be a very versatile artist who music are categorized under folk, country, and even rock, pop and alternative music.

Mindy Smith was born on June 1, 1972. At birth, she was adopted by a pastor and his wife and never got the chance to see her real parents. Smith has a brother and two sisters name Shanon, Kim an Don respectively. While growing up in Long Islande, she developed her passion for music and began to sing and even perform on family's occassion at a young age. It was on 1994 that she formally pursued musical career on Tennessee.


Her fame came in 2003 after being the first artist signed to contribute for the Dolly Parton tribut album Just Because I'm a Woman. And her debut colorful album came to life released on January 2004 entitled One More Moment. Her first single of the album was released entitled "Jolene" but it was the second single, "Come To Jesus" that made it big in the country music charts. As the single charted at number 32nd spot Adult Top 40. The third single of the debut album was "One More Moment".


Smith widely toured to promote her album extensively and went on to released her first single for the second album on October 2006, Out Loud. The second album was Long Island Shores released on October 2006 also.


Nearly a year after, on October 2007, Smith released a holiday Christmas album called "My Holiday". In addition this album showed her writing prowess as she wrote six original Christmas song themed for the album originally.
