Miley Cyrus, better known as fictional character Hannah Montana from the Disney Channel hit TV series Hannah Montana, is a vibrant, young actress and singer. Other than the successful soundtracks, she has also released two studio albums since signing to Hollywood Records as herself in 2006.

About
Born Destiny Hope Cyrus in November 23, 1992, she was named such because her parents believed that she was bound to do great things. Her name was legally changed to Miley Ray Cyrus in 2007 however. A native of Franklin, Tennessee, she practically grew up in this suburb of Nashville. Her father is Billy Ray Cyrus, a known country singer and her mother was Leticia Cyrus; talent can be traced down her lineage, be it in the music or television.
Her first television appearance was on her father's TV series entitled Doc, which was followed by her role in movie Big Fish as young Ruthie. When she was eleven years old, she auditioned for an acting role that wasn't Hannah Montana but she landed that role anyway because of her lively, energetic character that was compared to that of Hilary Duff and Shania Twain. Thus, her career blossoms as Miley Stewart.
Although she's busy with her acting and singing career, Miley Cyrus shows interests in playing the guitar and composing songs. Talk about a multi-talented young lady!
After the show's big success, Hannah Montana OST was released and she began performing onstage as Hannah Montana. The album surprisingly debuted at #1 of the Billboard Charts, selling more than a million copies. Miley Cyrus signed a recording contract for Hollywood Records, and released her debut album, "Meet Miley Cyrus" as Disc 2 of, "Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus", soundtrack to the second season. It became increasingly popular, and was followed by an even more successful follow-up, stand-alone album, "Breakout" in 2008. An EP, "Time of Our Lives" was released in 2009, and her third album, "Can't Be Tamed" will be released on June 22, 2010. She will then go on hiatus to focus on acting.
