Mi Reflejo is the first Spanish-language Latin pop album by Christina Aguilera. The album was released on September 12, 2000. Aguilera decided that she wanted to embrace her Latino heritage becuase she is 1/2 Ecudorian. The album feature Latin versions of her hit singles.

Latin Grammy's

The album earned Christina Aguilera many nominations at the Latin Grammy awards. In 2000, she was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Genio Atrapado" which she lost to Shakira's "Ojos Asi." In 2001, she earned two nods including Record of the Year for "Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti" which she lost but won for Best Female Pop Vocal Album.

Grammy's

The album earned a nomination for Best Latin Pop Album which she lost to Shakira's "Unplugged."

Billboard Latin Music Awards

She praised by the public for her nominations but some said the she was unlikely to win. Aguilera proved them wrong when she won Best Female Pop Album of the Year and Best New Artist's Pop Vocal Album of the Year.

Los Nuestro Awards

She was voted Best New Artist and Best Female Artist.

World Music Awards

This proved everyone that was against Aguilera wrong when she won for "World's Best Selling Latin Female Artist" winning over Shakira and Soraya.

Sales

The album went 3x Latin Platinum in the US which is equal to 600,000 units and sold over 2 million copies worldwide.
