About
Mcfly was formed early in 2004 by Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones who both conducted an audition at London's Covent Garden and where they got Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd to complete the exciting band line up. They signed up for a recording contract under Island Records from which they released their debut album Room On The 3rd Floor in 2004 and was followed by sophomore album Wonderland in 2005.
After a year they came up with their next album entitled Motion in The Ocean which peaked at number 6 of the US Charts. This 2007, the band will be releasing their greatest hits album which will feature singles such as "That Girl" and "5 Colours in Her Hair".

Trivia
- 2004, the band found out that there was an American band also called McFly. The American McFly subsequently received a pay-off to change their name, which they did - renaming themselves Biff Tannen, after Marty McFly's enemy from the Back to the Future movie.
- Danny Jones is the only one in the band that is left handed, but still plays guitar right handed.
- Mcfly hold the record for the youngest band ever to debut at number one with their first album which is in the "Guinness book of world records" - previously held by The Beatles.
