Mario Winans is a popular R&B singer, songwriter and a music producer. He had performed with well known singers like P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, Ice Cube, Jennifer Lopez and Brian McKnight.

Mario Winans was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina but was raised in Detroit. Mario's family were members of gospel music and called themselves, Winans Family. As a child his room was filled with musical instruments. From there, he started learning how to play piano, keyboards, and drums. After high school he started producing the Winans family albums and gospel group.
In 1990's his talents caught the eye of Rowdy Records. In 1995, he had his first single "I Can't Sleep Baby" and at the same year he worked with R. Kelly on the single "You Remind Me Of Something", 98 Degrees and Pebbles.
In 1997, his debut album, Story Of My Heart hit shelves. The single "Don't Know" was a hit. It reached the R&B top 50. In 1998, Winans was featured playing drums on P. Diddy's "Come With Me". Mario co-wrote P. Diddy's " I Need A Girl Part 2". In 2002, He was also the producer of the Bad Boy, We Invented The Remix. In 2004, his follow-up album, Hurt No More was released.
