About
Marilyn Manson was first felt in 1989 in Southern Florida when Manson, a photojournalist, gathered with guitarist Daisy Berkowitz, came with a drum machine forming a band. Not until 1990 when Marilyn Manson became Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids with Manson on vocals, Daisy on lead guitar, Gidget Gein on Bass, Madonna Gacy on keyboards who replaced original keyboardist Zsa Zsa Speck, and still with them the drum machine. The band opened for Nine Inch Nails and Trent Reznor was very impressed giving the band a big break. Finally in 1991, Sara Lee Lucas replaced the old drum machine and eventually in 1992, Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids became just Marilyn Manson. Since then, Manson has gathered fame. By 1993, Manson got a contract with Trent Reznor’s new own label Nothing and got a spot on Nine Inch Nails’ 1994 tour eventually making their debut album, “Portrait Of An American Family” leaving the music industry a new hype.
