About
Marcy Playground was formed in 1997 at New York City by "John Wozniak" on guitar, "Dylan Keefe" on bass and "Dan Rieser" on Drums. The three met in New York City, they were introduced by Jazz guitarist "Kurt Rosenwinkel". Instantly, they decided to formed the band. They signed a recording contract in that same year. Their self-titled debut album was also released that year. It features the single "Sex and Candy". The album chartered at #1 on Top Heatseekers Album chart, #17 on Top Canadian Albums and #21 on Top Billboard 200 Albums Chart. In November 1999, their second album, Shapeshifter was released. After the released, Dan left the band to pursue his other interest. After a long break, their third album, MP3 was released in 2004. They are now working their fourth album.
