About
Marc Anthony or Marco Antonio Muñiz in real life was born on September 16, 1968 at New York City to Guillermina Muñiz and Marco Antonio Muñiz. Marc started his career as a vocalist for Freestyle music and Underground New York House Music Acts. He also worked as a songwriter and backing vocalist for Pop international hit group, Menudo and The Latin Rascals.
His first album, [[[Rebel]] was released in 1988 under Bluedog Records. He was also the back-vocal of Ann-Marie in 1989. After three years, Marc changed his style of music from salsa to Latin music. He released his Spanish-language debut album, Otra Nota iN 1993. He was featured in La India's album, Dicen Que Soy in 1994.
His third album Contra La Corriente, was hit biggest hit album. It was a breaking records since its release in November 1997. Time Magazine voted the album as one of the Top 10 Albums of the Year. The also reached number 1 both in Hot Latin Tracks and Top Latin 50. Marc's follow-up album, I Need To Know reached the US charts for the first time. His single, You Sang To Me was featured in the movie soundtrack of Runaway Bride. His album, Libre was a certified gold. His next album, Mended inludes his smash hit songs, I've Got You, I Need You amd She Mends Me.He released his Latin Pop album, Amar Sin Mentiras in 2004. His latest compilation album, Sigo Siendo Yo was released in 2006.
