Mansun is an English band from England. The band members are composed of guitarist Paul Draper, bassist Stove King, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Dominic Chad, and drummer Andie Rathbone.

About
English rock band Mansun formed on 1995 in Chester, England by Paul Draper (vocalist/guitarist). In the 90’s Draper attended Wrexham Art College where he got acquainted with Stove King (bass). Both were a fan of ABC, Prince, David Bowie and Duran Duran. They worked part time at a photo library and med Dominic Chad (guitar). The three decided to form a band called Grey Lantern but later on changed it to Mansun.
In 1996, Mansun released their debut single “Take It Easy Chicken” under Sci Fi Hi Fi label. A new member was added, Andy Rathbone, as the band’s drummer. Chad had alcohol issues but sobered up by the end of the year. The following year, Mansun released their debut album, Attack Of The Grey Lantern under Parlophone Records. It went straight to the top of the charts. In 1999, Six was issued. The album was not as successful compared to the previous one but they captured the college audience. In 2000, Little Kix appeared on racks. Unfortunately, the album got very least attention.

Reviews
Mansun is close to sounding like the Oasis, Verve and Blur. They try so hard to sound like other bands until it reaches the point that they forget to be different. Although their singles rock Mansun doesn’t stand out. -Mimi 10:00, 30 June 2007 (PST)
