About
Mandisa (Mandisa Lynn Hundley) was born on October 2, 1976 in Citrus Heights, California. She was a natural born singer. Mandisa graduated in El Camino High School and moved to Nashville and enrolled in Fish University majoring in music. When she got her Bachelor's degree Mandisa decided to concentrate in pursuing her music career. The inspiring singer worked with LifeWay Christian Resources, a local religious organization in Nashville. Mandisa was one of the backup vocalists for Shania Twain and Trisha Yearwood. She recorded an album composed of hymns, opera and gospels. The release was put on hold due to her acceptance in American Idol 2006 finishing at 9th place. After American Idol, she released her debut album, True Beauty, in 2007.
