Macy Gray is an American R&B singer. Her career began after moving to Los Angeles in 2000. Her two hits songs were "I've Committed Murder" and "Why Don't You Call Me?".

Macy Gray born as Natalie Renee McIntyre on September 6, 1967 in Canton, Ohio. An American Grammy Award winning artist, singer, songwriter, producer and actress. At the age of seven years old she studied at a boarding school and learned how to play classical piano. She enrolled at a screenwriting program at USC, Los Anegeles. She then started writing songs for a musician friend. Faith had its way, at a demo session the singer failed to show up and Macy Gray signed up for the recording.
Macy Gray's debut album On How Life Is became a hit. It sold over 7 million copies worldwide. In 1999, her single "I Try" won a Grammy for best new artist. The songs as "Psychopath", "Sexual Revolution", and "Sweet Baby" found in her second album, The Id, caught the attention of the listeners. She had tours in different continents performing in many countries such as Israel, Australia, Europe, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Holland. Carlos Santana and Macy Gray made songs in his latest album. In 1996 to 1998, she was married to Tracy Hinds and had three childrens. Inspite of her success she has time to help aspiring artist and later on opened a music academy called The Macy Gray Music Academy in 2005
