Love Battery was formed in 1989 at Seattle,Washinton by "Ron Nine", "Kevin Whitworth", "Tommy Simpson" and "Dan Peters". Before their first single, "Between The Eyes" was to be issued, Dan left the group. He was replaced by, "Jason Finn". Their first studio album, Between The Eyes was released in 1991 under Sub Pop Records. Their next album, Dayglo was released in 1992. In 1995, their next album, Straight Freak Ticket was issued. Their last album released was, Confusion Au Go Go under C/Z Records.

  • The group's name was taken from the title of a Buzzcocks song.
  • In 1996 Love Battery was featured in the documentary Hype!, chronicling the rise of the Seattle "grunge" music scene. A clip is shown of a live performance of "Between the Eyes."
