About
{{Lisa LaRue is a Native American (Keetoowah Cherokee) keyboardist, composer and recording artist. She was the first female signed the Sound of America Records (SAOR). Her first CD, produced by Will Alexander (Keith Emerson, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Lorber) was the first to combine art and music in an extensive way. With 14 pages by the most awarded female Native American Artist Joan Hill, the booklet provided the 'thousand words' for the instrumental work. Keyboard Magazine praised the album, and declared "Lisa LaRue has an obvious ear for orchestration."
Later, she released "Children's Songs in the Cherokee Language, nominated for 2 NAMMY's (Native American Music Awards), and That Ol' Sofkee Sppon, featuring John "Yafke" Timothy. She has also scored a touring modern dance, and several video games.}}
