About

Hip hop rapper Lil' Flip (Wesley Eric Weston Jr.) a.k.a Freestyle King was born on March 3, 1981 in Houston Texas. His strong rhymes got the attention of DJ Screw. Weston joined his rap group called Screwed Up Click. Weston quickly became a well-respected rapper in the Dirty South. Later, Lil' Flip worked with Duane Hobbs and went tour under Sucka Free Records releasing Hustlaz Stackin' Endz in 1998.

In 2000, Lil' Flip went on a solo venture resulting to his The Leprechaus album in 2000. It sold over 100,000 copies with the smash hit "I Can Do Dat". When DJ Screw died, Lil' Flip picked up where he left off. He started mixing tapes.

Lil' Flip switched to a bigger label, Columbia Records. His name spread fast making him famous. Before he released his second album, Undaground Legend, Flip was shot. He survived the shooting and went out the hospital the following day.

In 2004, the rapper issued his third album, U Gotta Feel Me. Other rappers appeared on this album like Ludacris and Cam'ron. The album went platinum. Contented with his success, Lil' Flip opened Clover G Records.

Reviews

Lil' Flip is the greatest rapper from the south. His rapping is flawless and it has a great flow. The common thing in Lil' Flip's singles are that he raps about money and power. Lil' Flip can rap about anything he wants. He has great skills in rapping plus he built a name for himself. --Mimi 09:10, 7 March 2007 (PST)
