Less_Than_Jake is an American Ska Punk Band who issued several hit albums including, Anthem.

Less_Than_Jake was formed in 1992 at Florida by "Chris Demakes" on guitar, "Vince Fiorelli" on drums and "Shaun Grief" on bass. After forming the band, Shaun became the roading and "Roger Manganelli" joins the group on bass. "Jessica Mills" was added into the group in 1993 to became their first horn player. In that same year, they issued their first 7" record, "Smoke Spot". Sooner, "Buddy Schaub" joins the band on trombone. In 1995, Buddy went to Europe with his friends so he was temporary replaced by, "Derron Nuhfer". He became a permanent member in August 1995.


Their debut album, Pezcore was released in August 1995 under Asian Man Records. After issuing of Pezcore, the group signed a recording contract under Capitol Records. In 1996, they released their album, Losing Streak. It features the singles, "Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts," "Jen Doesn't Like Me Anymore," and "Automatic". In 1997, Jessica left the group to concentrate on her teaching career. She was replaced by, "Pete Anna".


Their next album, Hello Rockview was released in 1998 under Capitol Records. It features the singles, "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads" "Last One Out Of Liberty City" and "History of A Boring Town" which landed at #39 on The Billboard Modern Rock Tracks. In 1999, they released their album, Pesto. Their next album, Borders and Boundaries was issued in September 2000. After the released, Derron left the band.


Their next album, Anthem was released in 2003 under Warner Bros. Records. It debuted at #45 on The Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It features the single, "The Science Of Selling Yourself Short" which landed #37 on Billboard Top 40 and spent their for five weeks. In 2006, their next album, In With The Out Crowd was released in 2006 under Sire Records. Last June 2008, they released their latest album, GNV Fla under their own label Sleep It Off Records. The album features the single, "All Time Low".
