Released on November 13, 2001 under Epic, Laundry Service is the English debut album of Latin rock star Shakira. This album is the kind of assured and ecletic English language power. In the track, "Objection" delivers a snarlingly Alanis-like vocal, combined with mix with exotic tango, guitars, and a tough feminist perspective propelled by familiar rhythm by Ricky Martin.

The album topped in Canada, Poland, and Israel Music charts at number one spot while the powerhouse single "Whenever, Wherever" and "Underneath Your Clothes" where two of the famous singles in this album that peaked at number 1 in the Hot Latin track and the Canadian Singles track respectively.

In 2002, "Suerte" won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Music Video and 2003 was nominated for Latin Grammy Award for Best Rock Song for "Te Aviso, Te Anuncio (Tango)".
