"The Best Singer of the competition" This comment was given by Simon Cowell, one of the three judges of the television show American Idol when Latoya London did her own rendition of the song All By Myself in the semifinal audition round of American Idol. Her first single, Appreciate reached number 8 in the Billboard Charts.

Latoya London was born on December 29, 1978 in San Francisco, California, She grew up in Oakland, California. When she was 7 years of age, she performs at the wedding of her mother. She joins the Oakland Youth Chorus when she was in her teens. She studied in Skyline High School, after high school, she works as a waitress and a bartender. She was also the lead singer of the band called All Star Jukebox who performs in some weddings.
Latoya auditioned in the third season of American idol. She received a standing ovation from Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul, two of the three judges in American Idol with her own rendition of the song All By Myself which she sang in the semifinal audition round. She was chosen one of the contestants. In one of her performance in the series, she was given a comment from Simon Cowell that she is "the best singer in the competition. After she had sung All the Time. She again received a standing ovation from Randy and Paula when she sang Don't Rain on My Parade. When Latoya was eliminated, the judges were all surprise and shocked. When she sang her exit performance with her rendition again of Don't Rain on My Parade. Paula cried and gives her a standing ovation and Randy and Simon Cowell who barely gives a standing ovation. After she was eliminated, she appeared in the television show of Ryan Seacrest which became one of his highest rating episodes.
In the later part of 2004, her first single, Appreciate was released and reached number 8 on the Billboard Singles Chart. Her first album, Love and Life was released on 2005. In the early part of 2006, Latoya released her single, State of My Heart which reached number five on the charts. Latoya is currently finishing her first movie appearance, Hollywood Chaos which featured a multitude of reality television stars.
