Large Professor or "William Paul Mitchell" in real life was born on March 21, 1972 in New York City, United States. He became a member of the group Main Source in 1989. He released his two solo singles in 1996 entitled, Ijuswannachill and The Mad Scientist under MCA Records. He released his album, 1st Class in 2000. The album chartered at #21 on Heatseekers, #21 ON Top Independent Albums Chart and #53 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. In 2008, he released his latest album entitled, Main Source.
