Kings of Leon was formed in 2000 in Nashville, Tennessess. The band comprised of three brother such as, "Caleb Followil" on lead sibger, "Nathan Followill" and "Jared Followill" with their first cousin, "Matthew Followill". In 1993, the band released their first EP, Holy Roller Novocaine. It contains the singles, "California Waiting" and "Wasted Time". It that same year, they issued their debut album, Youth and Youth Manhood by RCA Records. The album spawned the singles, "Molly's Chambers", "Wasted Time"a nd "california Waiting". It landed at #46 on Billboard Albums Chart. Their second album, Aha Shake Heartbreak was released in November 2004 under RCA Records. The album contains the singles, "The Bucket", "Four Kicks" and "King of The Rodeo". It landed at #28 on Billboards Chart. Their next album, Because of The Times was released in 2007 under Hand Records. It debuted at #25 on US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and sold 42,000 copies on its first week. As of December 2007, the album has already sold 362,000 copies in UK. The album was #6 in NME albums of the year, as well as #31 on Rolling Stone's Top 50 Albums of 2007. Their latest album, Only By The Night was issued in September 2008 under RCA Records. The album landed at #1 on US Digital Albums Chart and #1 on US Modern Rock Albums Chart. It peaked at #36 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart. The album was certified four times platinum in Australia. The album has been nominated for Best Rock Album at the 51st Grammy Awards with the song "Sex On Fire" receiving two nominations itself.
