Kid Rock is one of the most successful American artist. He was known as a Cowboy-rock rapper of Devil Without A Cause which sold more than 10,000,000 copies.

About

Rocker Kid Rock or (Robert James Ritchie) was born on January 17, 1971 in Romeo, Michigan. As a child, Kid Rock became passionate about rapping. He learned how to breakdance and made to talent-shows in Detroit. In 1998, Kid Rock recorded her first demo, it earned him a gig at a Boogie Down Productions. Impressed, Jive Records signed him in. In 1990, his debut album, Grits Sandwiches For Breakfast, was issued.

When Rock moved to Brooklyn, Continuum Label gave him a contract and released Polyfuze Method in 1993 followed by Fire It Up. Rock soon left to return to Detroit to start recording another album, Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp, which was released in 1996. Rock formed a rock band Twisted Brown Trucker with rapper Joe C, guitarists Kenny Olson and Jason Krause, keyboardist Jimmy Bones, drummer Stefanie Eulinberg, DJ/turntablist Uncle Kracker and backing vocalists Misty Love and Shirley Hayden. Atlantic Record signed them in.

In 1998, Devil Without A Cause wasn't a success. With the help of MTV "Bawitdaba" and "Cowboy" was a huge hit making Kid Rock a star. His album went 7x platinum and earned him a gig at Woodstock '99. The History Of Rock was released in 2000. During their tour to promote the album, Joe C. died in his sleep on November 16, 2000. His relationship with Pamela Anderson was the spotlight of the media. In 2001, Uncle Kracker was successful in his solo career. In 2001, Cocky was released. The single "Forever" was a hit! In 2003, Rock returned with a self-titled album.
