About
Born Lescott Kevin Lyttle Combs, more popularly known today as Kevin Lyttle was born on September 14, 1976 at the native island of St.Vincent. When Kevin was 7 years old, he was fond of watching Michael Jackson performing "Billie Jean" on TV, the reason why he became interested in music.
Kevin wanted to work at an early age to save some money. He then sent a demo to Adrian Bailey, a producer from St. Vincent. Adrian was stunned when he heard his voice; thus, with the help of Adrian, Kevin recorded a song entitled "Turn Me On" in 2001 which became a huge hit across the neighboring islands. Soon, Kevin signed with a management company who was able to shipp copies of the said single to DJ's in the U.S. and Europe. The single was officialy released in 2003 in the UK and peaked at the #2 spot in the UK Singles Chart. It became #1 in Finland and #3 in Australia.
In 2004, the single was released in United States and landed at the #4 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts. Kevin signed a recording contract under Atlantic Records and released his self-titled debut album by July 27, 2004.
