About

Kenny Loggins (Kenneth Clark Loggins) was born on the 7th day of January 1948, from Everett, Washington. He came from a band called Gator Creek together with Mike Deasy in the late 70's, under Mercury Records. They came up with a couple of revivals such as Danny's Song Long John Baldry's Don't Try To Lay, No Boogie Woogie on the King of Rock and Roll and Jackson Brown's These Days. Loggins has caught the attention of singer-songwriter Jim Messina. Together they created their own label Loggins and Messina which lasted until 1976. A year after, Loggins decided to go solo and recorded his first solo LP entitled, Celebrate Me Home followed by Nightwatch in 1978 which features a duet with a famous artist, Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks in Whenever I Call You Friend and Keep The Fire in 1979, all successful and has sold millions on copies. He also penned the Grammy awards winning song with fellow artist Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers titled, What A Fool Believes.

For the following years, Loggins gained the title king of movie soundtrack song for his compositions for Top Gun ( Danger Zone ), Caddyshack I and II (I'm Alright and Nobody's Fool, respectively), Over The Top (Meet Me Halfway) and Footloose (track with the same title).

He continued his successful career in the 90's including the popular children's album Return to Pooh Corner and it's sequel in 2000 More Songs from Pooh Corner. He also produced Forever which became a wordlwide hit that was even translated in different languages. You can't feel satisfaction, if your creation is not appreciated by others. Loggins received criticisms but more on praises especially when he released his most important album Leap of Faith in 1991 with the single Conviction of the Heart used as the unofficial anthem of the environment movement, billed by former Vice -President Al Gore.

Leap of Faith was followed by The Unimaginable Life and Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: The Greatest Hits (Featuring the #1 AC hit song For The First Time ) in 1997 and December in 1998. Finally in 2005, he reunited with Poco's Jim Messina in their road tour, finding success in every places they went to, resulting in a DVD and CD Loggins and Messina Sittin' In Again.
