Kem is a Nigerian singer and at the same time a songwriter from Michigan. His hit songs are the "Love Calls", "I Can't Stop Loving You" and "Find Your Way (Back in My Life)" which became a hit at urban contemporary and smooth jazz radio chart.

Early Life

R&B singer Kem Owns was born on Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating high school Kem struggled with addiction and homelessness. Music gave him strength to turn his life around. During the 90’s Kem moved around Detroit singing almost anywhere.

Early Career

In 2002, Kem started recording his debut album, Kemistry, independently. He promoted his album tirelessly until it landed in the hands of Motown label and they helped him reach to an international audience. In 2003, reached out to adult audiences in his soul and jazz style. The single "Love Calls" entered the Charts. In 2005, Kem issued his sophomore album, Album II, which was a certified gold.
