Kellie Pickler is an American Country music singer who finished sixth on the fifth season of the top rating Reality Series, American Idol. She has just released her first Country Music album, Small Town Girl.

Kellie Pickler was born on June 28, 1986 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her mother, Cynthia Morton was only 18 years old when she gave birth to Kellie. When Kellie was two years old, her mother abandoned her. Her father, Clyde Pickler Jr. was prison for 3 years and 9 months at Florida State Prison because of drug addiction and assault. He was released from prison on May 6, 2006.
Pickler stayed with her grandfather Clyde Pickler Sr., and her grandmother Faye Pickler at Albemarle, North Carolina. She graduated high school in the year 2004 in North Stanly High School in New London, North Carolina and sang at her graduation rites. After graduating from high school, she worked as a waitress in Sonic Drive Inn and join the contest Miss America at the age of 17 which she won the Miss Stanly County. Kellie also competed in Miss North Carolina 2004. She joins the contest in WSOC-TV's Gimme the Mike and she won second place. She took up Cosmetology in Stanly Community College.
Kellie audition in the fifth season of American Idol in the fall of 2005 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Eventually, she was one of the finalist of American Idol fifth season. She was the early favorites of the audiences because of her being witty. She and Taylor Hicks were never been at the bottom three but on April 26, she was eliminated. She has done so many guestings on a different TV shows after American Idol and now she recently released her first country music album and already reached the number one spot of the country charts.
