Keith Murray is an American rapper from New York who is famous for his part in the trio Def Squad along with Redman and Erick Sermon.

About
Early Life
Keith Murray was born on September 13, 1974 in Central Slip, New York. He has a troubled childhood filled with drugs as well as violence. Both of his parents used intravenous drugs where both died when he was young. His father died of a liver ailment while his mother died of AIDS. His sister eventually also died of AIDS in 2001.
Music Career
Before being discovered, he had a contest with Big Daddy Kane, who was known as the greated MC's of all time. Although during the contest Murray did not win he earned the respect of Kane and was introduced to Erick Sermon. The introduction went a long way as Sermon featured Murray on his album "No Pressure" in the single "Hostile". In the album, he quickly established himself as one of the most creative lyricist which led Jive Records to released his debut album The Most Beautifullest Thing in This World released on 1994. His second album Enigma was released on 1996 also under Jive where it received similar ratings with his debut.
Prison
In 1999, Murray was involved in a lot of troubles in bar fights which landed him in prison. While in prison, he released his third album It's A Beautiful Thing where it relatively received good reviews from critics.
His third album He's Keith Murray was released on 2003. The album was his first with Def Jam Records. But was fired with the record company for allegedly choking a street team member on 2004. Currently, Murray is set on for the release of his latest album "Rapmurrfoebia" mid 2007.
