Katy Perry is an American singer who also knows how to play acoustic and electric guitar. Her debut album One Of The Boys was released on June 17, 2008.

About
Katy Perry (Katheryn Hudson) was born on October 25, 1984 in Santa Barbara, CA. Her parents were both pastors. She was not allowed to listen to any kinds of music when she was still a child. As she grew older, Perry discovered the sounds of Freddie Mercury and Alanis Morisette but Religious music was still in her heart. She sang and recorded Christian music and released an album in 2001 taking the name of Katy Hudson. She later on changed genre and fell in love with pop. At 17, she began writing music and met Glen Ballard, a producer and co-writer of Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill. Later, Perry signed in with The Matrix. They released her singles "Box" and "Diamonds" on Perry's official Myspace page. One of her single's "Simple" was included in the 2005 film, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. In 2007, Perry dropped the label and switched to Columbia where they released her debut single "UR So Gay". Perry released her 2008 album, One of the Boys and joined the Warped Tour. The young singer also appeared on the series, The Young and the Restless.
