Julian Marley or Julian Ricardo in real life was born on June 4, 1975 in London, UK. He was able to learn how to play the keyboard, drums, bass and guitar at an early age together with his two brothers. Julian, Ziggy and Stephen Marley, then became involved in a production company called Ghetto Youth International in 1989.
Five years after, Julian released his debut album entitled Lion in The Morning in 1996 then he released his follow up album, A Time and Place, named such because according to him, each song has a different feeling. The first single ever to be released was a Hip Hop song called "Harder Day".
In one of his interviews in 2003, Julian expressed that in the next five years, he would like to grow more in and making more music and would be more involved spiritually.
