Journey Through Love was Soundestiny's second album. This CD was a departure from many of their other releases. Albums such as Shadow Rising and Winds of Change contain music inspired by The Lord of the Rings. Similarly their EP All that Glitters showcased music inspired by The Hobbit. Soundestiny decided to tale a break from these Tolkien-inspired fantasy themes and recorded 12 songs that highlighted the upredictable path of romance.

There are 12 songs on the disc and all are based on true events. They were written by Darryl Grant Potter. The album was engineered, produced and mixed by Kim Sewell and Phil Ross. It was arranged by Darryl Grant Potter; artwork and graphic design were by Natalie Camilleri. Tracks were recorded at Pyramid Studios and Rigidigital Studios.

Contrary to what some fans have said, the lyrics in Journey Through Love were not solely about events in the life of the songwriter, Darryl Grant Potter. Some reflect incidents and experiences in the lives of friends and people he knew at different times. There are tales of heartbreak, relationship problems, infatuation, rejection, jilted lovers, affairs and even death of a loved one. Some such as Halloween are upbeat rock; there are bluesy numbers like A young and innocent girl, jazzy ones such as Prison of love and ballads like the title song itself, Journey through love.

And finding a road that will lead to the heart may be shrouded in mystery time after time
... appear in three separate songs as a linking mechanism on this album. They are first heard as a narrative prior to A young and innocent girl and then appear melodically (with different tunes) in both Valentine's day and Jealous lies.
