About
Joe Walsh or "Joseph Fidler Walsh" in real life was born on November 20, 1947 at Winchita, Kansas. However, he was raised in Columbia, Ohio and then later in New York City. Joseph moved in Montclair, New Jersey and attended at Montclair High School. He Attended College in Kent State University in Cleveland. He joined the band, James Gang in 1968. He replaced "Glen Schwartz" as their lead guitarist. The group spawned several albums. Joe left the band in 1971 and formed his owned group, Barnstorm. The band has also produced several singles like "Rocky Mountain Way" and their self-titled album. In 1974, the group was disbanded. Joe pursued his solo career.
In 1974, he released his solo debut album, So What. In 1976, he joined the successful band, The Eagles. He replaced "Bernie Leadon". However, Joe continued to release solo albums. His next solo album, But Seriously Folks was released in 1978, which features the hit song, "There Goes The Neighborhood". After the break up of The Eagles in 1980, Joe was once again a solo artist. Joe continued to release solo albums, starting in 1981 with There Goes the Neighborhood, followed by You Bought it You Name It, The Confessor, Got Any Gum? and Ordinary Average Guy in 1987. In 1995, The Eagles was reformed together with Joe and released their new album. In 2006, he reunited with his fellow members of the group, James Gang. He aslo donated an autograph guitar to ARRL for its charity auction.

- Licensed amateur (ham) radio operator with call sign WB6ACU.
- Joe sang the US National Anthem at the beginning of game four of the 1995 World Series.
- Kent State University awarded Walsh an honorary degree in music in December 2001.
- Joe ran for President of the United States in 1980, as well as for Vice President in 1992.
