About

Born Jessica Leigh Harp on February 3, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri to parents Ron and Carla Harp. Her talent in singing started at a very young age. When she was 8, she began writing songs and by 13 her dad convinced her to learn how to play the guitar.

Jessica Harp pursued a solo career and released an independent album in 2002 entitled, Preface. She was also the back-up singer for her long-time friend, Michelle Branch. When Jessica was offered to sign with Elektra, Michelle asked her to join her in the group she's planning to form which Jessica agreed. The duo formed the country music duo, The Wreckers. The Wreckers released their debut album Stand Still, Look Pretty on May 23, 2006 where the album earned a Grammy nomination.
