About

Jessica Andrews was born on December 29, 1983 in Hustingdon, Tennessee, which is only a small town with a population of almost 8 thousand people. It is about 100 miles from Nashville where she now resides with her family.

It all started for Jessica when she was 10 years old, she was to do a dance routine during her 4th grade talent show. Her older sister Kellie encouraged her to sing at the show, Jessica sang "I Will Always Love You" and hit it with a high note. This caught the attention of everyone. She won the Loretta Lynn West Tennessee talent search.

When Jessica was 12 years old, she formed her first band, Dreamchaser and loved to performed at various venues in West Tennessee. When Jessica turn 17 years old, her voice was someone twice her age. Jessica has been involved in sports and music. She was an All-Star pitcher of a softball team. She loves all kinds of music. Her mother was also a very talented singer and has performed throughout the West Tennessee area for many years with various bands.

Jessica caught the attention of one of Nashville biggest producers, Byron Gallimore when she was performing at one places of Nashville. Byron brought Jessica to James Stroud, President of Dreamworks Nashville, they heard her voice and on the spot, James offered Jessica a record deal which is something hardly ever happens in the music industry.

While she was working on her debut album, Heart Shaped World, Jessica was invited to sing one song on the album of the animated movie The Prince of Egypt. Her single from the movie soundtrack, "I Will Be There for You" was the first single from her album, Heart Shaped World. She also toured with Faith Hill to support Faith's album.

Now after a lot of hard work, dedication and sacrifice, Heart Shaped World was released in 1999. This album is full of great music for everyone. Jessica earned her first industry award as the Academy of Country Music's top new female vocalist in May 2000.
