Jesse Winchester was the most prominent Vietnam War draft-evader. He released more than five albums and one of his hit albums released was Learn To Love It.

Jesse Winchester or James Ridout Winchester was born in Bossier City, Louisiana. He grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended College at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. In 1967, he moved to Montreal, Quebec.
He performed with the Astronauts in Quebec and performed at coffee houses in Canada. He had released more than 5 albums. His last was a live album, which was released in 2005.
