Jennifer Love Hewitt is an American actress and singer. She is famous for the role of Julie James in the horror films "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and its sequel "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer". Her single "How Do I Deal" reached twenty six on the American charts.

Jennifer Love Hewitt was born on February 21, 1979 in Waco, Texas. Her father is a technician and her mother worked as a speech pathologist. As a young girl, she was fond of music which led her in the entertainment industry. At the age of three, she sang "The Greatest Love of All" recorded by Whitney Houston at a livestock show. A year after that, she entertained an audience with her version of "Help Me Make It Through the Night" in a restaurant. At nine, she became a member of the Texas Show Team. At the age of ten, she moved to Los Angeles, California, with her mother to pursue a career in both acting and singing. In Los Angeles she appeared in more than twenty commercials. Her first break was a child actress on the Disney Channel variety show Kids Incorporated. She became famous after starring in a lead role in the horror film "I Know What You Did Last Summer". She has released four albums with some success, mostly in Europe and Japan. Her first album was released in Japan, where she is widely considered a pop star.
