About
Jennifer Knapp was born on April 12, 1974 in Chanute, Kansas. She played trumpet in high school and attended Pittsburg State University in a music scholarship. Jennifer started performing throughout the Midwest. She released an indie album, Wishing Well which caught the attention of Godee Records and signed her recording contract.
Her debut album, Kansas sold over 500,000 copies and became gold. Her second album, Lay It Down is also a big hit. Her next album, The Way I Am was released in 2002, which also features the hit singles, "By and By" and "No Regrets".
