Jeff Timmons is most popularly known for being the founding member and lead singer of the successful R&B quartet, 98 Degrees. Since the band’s extended leave in 2002, Jeff has launched his solo career with his debut album Whisper That Way. The album’s single of the same title reached number 23 in the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary Charts.

About
Jeffrey Brandon “Jeff” Timmons was born on April 30, 1973 to parents Patricia and James Timmons. He grew up with his brother Michael and sister Kristina in Canton, Ohio. Growing up, Jeff had been active in all aspects of student activities like debate, choir and sports. He played college football for Bluffton College and later on for Malone College but transferred to Kent State University when he took up Psychology. A few semesters later Jeff moved to Los Angeles to try his luck in acting and was soon casted in a U.S. Navy commercial. Jeff’s luck, however, was not in acting but in singing.
In 1995, he formed the now famous 98 Degrees. In 1997 they were signed by Motown Records and 98 Degrees’ career skyrocketed from then on. In a span of five years, the group has released five albums, three of which have gone platinum and sold more than 10 million copies world wide.
In 2002, 98 Degrees went on a hiatus and each pursuing their own solo career including Jeff who went on a tour with respected balladeer Jim Brickman. In 2004 Jeff released his debut album Whisper That Way which includes the singles Better Days, Favorite Star and Whisper That Way, a placer in the Adult Contemporary Charts, .
It has been reported that Jeff will be hosting VH1's version of the European show Top of the Pops to be aired late 2006/early 2007. He is also set to appear in VH1’s new reality TV series Man Band.
