About

Jeff Fiorello's major influences are Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, and John Mayer. In the past several years, he has been fortunate through both a lot of hard work and a little luck to have some great opportunities that are allowing him to pursue his passion for entertainment.

Jeff was born on December 15, 1982 and grew up in Niceville, Florida in a childhood filled with music, but didn't actually get on to the pop scene until he went off to college at Appalachian State University (ASU) in Boone, North Carolina where he majored in Electronic Media/Broadcast Communications. There, he began writing seriously and formed his own band, Rustic, that played the college circuit in North Carolina for about a year. In 2004, his first solo show came when he opened for his good friends and fellow musicians in the band Free Monica at their CD release. This led to a fulltime gig with Free Monica as bassist/vocalist from 2004 to 2005. While with Free Monica, Jeff got the bug to breakout as a solo artist and writer, so he started performing in Destin, Florida, gaining more valuable experience and feedback on his original music.

In 2005, Jeff was presented the opportunity of a lifetime by landing an internship through ASU with NBC Saturday Night Live (SNL). With this opportunity in hand, he packed up his gear and headed north to the Big Apple. While serving his internship with SNL, he started playing solo gigs around the city. During that time, he built a following and decided to continue to pursue a career in entertainment in earnest. Hes putting the final touches on his first CD at Tainted Blue Studios with producer Ron Thaler in New York and will release his first album in the late Fall of 2006.

Jeff recently signed on and taped a show to be featured on City Sessions, a television show which will capture the essence of the music scene in major cities across the country through popular independent bands and individual musicians in those cities. The show, created by Larry Namer, founder of the E! Entertainment Television, will be broadcast in late fall 2006 in high definition on YMCTV, available through Comcast Cable Systems and the Dish Network. Be sure and tune in!

Jeff currently resides in New York City and is represented by Vivid Horizon Productions. His debut album will be released in the fall of 2006.

Reviews

Jeff Fiorello's music reminds of Toad The Wet Sprocket. His single, The One is a good example. His voice is clearly that of Toad's. But what can Fio offer differently? His musical taste is far different from my description, his lyrical talent is amazing, The One is a carefully mixed song and the tune is very catchy. It's in my list of Last Song Syndrome choices. The first time I heard it I was hooked. His other tracks included in his soon to be released debut album are Come On, Fall In Line, and Confidence. Come On is a very enjoyable song as well. I like the way Fio fuses acoustic to his pop-laced voice. Here is musician we should all be looking forward to in the future.--Angelic biatch 11:30, 23 September 2006 (PDT)
