About
Canadian pop artist Jann Arden Richards was born on March 27, 1962 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. At the age of 13 years old, Arden loved music and started writing her own songs. In 1980, at the age of 17 years old, she recorded her first single, "Never Love a Sailor", from that day on Arden started performing at clubs and festivals. To master her skills, she joined bands like Factor Four and Hip Hugger.
In 1992, she released her debut album, Time For Mercy, under A&M Records. Arden took home the Best Video and Best Solo Performer from the Juno Awards equivalent to a Grammy Award. In 1994, Arden released her follow-up album, Living Under June, but it was unsuccessful. In 1997, Happy?, was released followed by Blood Red Cherry in 2000. The album included the "I Just Don't Love You Anymore", "I Would Die for You" and "Insensitive". In 2001, Greatest Hurts, hit stands. She also did a live album called Jann Arden Live With The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in 2002. The following year, Love Is The Only Soldier, was released. In 2005, she released a self-titled album, Jann Arden. She is presently recording her up coming album, Uncover Me, which will be released in 2007.
