English singer and songwriter James Morrison (James Morrison Catchpole) was born on August 13, 1984 in Rugby, Warwickshire, England. He was already exposed to soul music and classic folk at a very young age since his parents were fans of those genres. He was born in poverty. James got money through playing in the streets and some odd jobs. During his break time he would write music. It was when Polydor Records heard James’ material and offered him a contract. He recorded 13 of his songs and resulted to his debut album, Undiscovered (album). It was released on 1996. He went on tour with Corrine Bailey Rae. His singles “You Give Me Something” and “The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore” were a big hit in the U.K. In 2007, James was a hit sensation in the U.S.
