Jadakiss is a well known rapper from New York. He has been featured in other underground mix tapes and formed the rap group the L.O.X in 1994.

Hip hop artists Jadakiss (Jason Jerome Phillips) was born on May 27, 1975 in Yonkers, New York. At a very young age he became very interested in rap. Living the rough life Jadakiss started selling drugs to earn money. Through his friends he started rapping music. In Florida, Jadakiss starting joing rap competitions, he also became a popular freestyler. In his teen years, Jadakiss started recording in the studio.
In 1994, he and his squad started a rap group known as the L.O.X. They became popular and released their debut album Money, Power, Respect. After the Free the Lox campaign the group switched labels. Sheek Louch, Styles P, and Jadakiss worked with the Ruff Ryders in 1999.
In 2001, Jada released his debut album, Kiss The Game Goodbye. A lot of well-respected rappers were included in this album such as Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Nas and DMX. In 2004, his follow-up album, Kiss Of Death was released. The controversial single "Why" topped at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was later on banned on radio stations. His personal life was also reflected in the album.
In 2004, Jada and Fat Joe appeared on Ja Rule's "New York". Later a feud rose between Jada and 50 Cent. In 2006, he released the single "Shots Fired" featuring Styles P.
