Jackson Browne is an American Rock singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist. His latest album, Solo Acoustic, Vol.1 which was released in 2005 under Inside Recordings.

About
Jackson Browne was born on October 9, 1948 at Heidelberg, Germany. At an early age, Jackson with his family decided to move in Highland Park, Los Angeles, California and started to perform folk music.
In 1966, Jackson joins the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. He proved to be a talented songwriter by composing his own songs. He signed a publishing contract with Nina Music and his songs were sangs by Eagles, Linda Ronstadt and The Byrds.
Jackson moved to New York's Greenwhich Village to continue pursuing his career there. Jackson had also worked as an accompanist to Nico. Jackson used to perform at Andy Warhols club at The Dom. Nico played three songs of Jackson on her first album Chelsea Girl.
Few years later, Jackson left New York and he formed a folk band with Ned Doheney and Jack Wilce. In 1971, Jackson had signed a recording contract with Asylum Records. He released his self-titled debut album in 1972. In his next albums, For Everyman and Late For The Sky, he had worked with David Lindley who played his violin and slide-guitar. After that more successful album and singles has followed.
In 1979, Jackson together with Bonnie Raitt, Graham Nash and John Hale formed an organizations which they called MUSE (Musicians United For Safe Energy). Five benefit concerts resulted in the triple-album No Nukes.
In February 2002, Jackson was the fourth recipient of the John Steinbeck Award during the centennial celebration of the California writer's birth. The honor is given to those artist whose works best exemplify in the environmental and social values.
He continued his political protests in 1980 with Hold Out, followed by three more albums in the eighties. After four years of silence and a break-up with his girlfriend, actress Daryl Hannah, Jackson returned with I'm Alive. His most current work The Naked Ride Home was released in 2002.
On March 15, 2004, Jackson Browne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His most recent album is Solo Acoustic, Vol. 1 which was released in 2005 under Inside Recordings.
