[edit] About

The blue-eyed music maker, Joshua Scott Chasez was born on August 8, 1976 to parents Roy (a writer) and Karen (an editor). With his younger siblings, Heather and Tyler, they were born at Washington D.C. but raised at Bowie, Maryland. JC showed special ability in performing at an early age. He attended Belair Junior High School and Bowie High School. He became a member of The Mickey Mouse Club (aired on the Disney Channel) after his mother read an article for auditions in the said show, with fellow Mouseketeer and future stars, Christina Aguilera, future bandmate Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Keri Russell, Ryan Gosling and Rhona Bennett . He performed on the show from 1990 until it ended on 1994.

A year after, he was convinced by fellow Mickey Mouse Club graduate Justin Timberlake to join a band he was forming which was later named N'Sync. JC has co-written and co-produced many of the band's songs and for other artists as well (Boyz Girlz United , Girls Aloud and Wild Orchid). The band has been successful but decided to take a break after releasing one of their chart-topping album Celebrity. JC Chasez used the time off to work on his production and writing skills. He went out to public again in 2002 with the single for the movie soundtrack Drumline called Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love). He began working with Dallas Austin and even had a guest appearance in Basement Jaxx's album Kish Kash as the vocals for the song Plug It In. This helped broaden JC's listeners' expectations for an album from him and in February 24, 2004, the highly anticipated album was released. Schizophrenic features the singles, Some Girls (Dance With Women), Build My mind, and All Day Long I Dream About Sex.

JC is currently busy in doing the finishing touches for his sophomore effort due early 2007. Appearing in the album are producers, Dallas Austin, Timbaland, Billy Steinberg, and long-time friend Justin Timberlake. He described his latest album as IPM or Intelligent Pop Music. The singles Until Yesterday, God Bless America and Better With You were all co-written and produced with Justin Timberlake. The first single off the album is Until Yesterday which was released on October 20, 2006, was featured in AOL Music First Listen. He has also started MusicFreedom.com which is an indie artist website where he gives an opportunity to artists who want to gain exposure in their starting career.
