The fifth studio album of Sugar Ray, In the Pursuit of Leisure was released on June 3, 2003 by Atlantic Records. The alternative rock-genre album features a 12 track collection where all are written by Sugar Ray members themselves except for the track "She Really Going Out with Him?" which was written by Joe Jackson.

To date, the album released one single entitled "Mr. Bartender (It's So Easy)" where it received a lukewarm reception. Two years after in 2005, Sugar Ray released a greatest hits album, The Best of Sugar Ray.
