About
On this debut album, Taylor Hicks, although he has reverence for the artists he learned from, he demonstrates that he's far from a stuck-in-the-past purist. This album was released under an Independent label on 1997. The acoustic ballad of The Fall brings listeners along his sentimental thoughts of relationship on its last leg. The recording also features the classics Georgia and the song Tighten Up originally by the Archie Bell and the Drells
This album was released way before he auditioned for the American Idol but because Taylor Hicks was not under a recording contract for this album nor the following album Under The Radar, he still qualified to compete on the fifth season of the said hit reality television show.

Taylor Hicks did this album on his own and most of the songs were written by him. He writes very good music and sings well too. Even his own version of the song On Broadway was amazing. The CD may not be in circulation anymore though there are plans on re-releasing the album soon, this album is worth listening. -Raine 03:50, 14 November 2006 (PDT)
