Ice-T is one of the best rappers in the music industry. He is known as the father of gangsta music and the first rapper to perform the notorious C-Walk in the 80’s.

About
Gangsta rapper Ice-T (Tracy Marrow) was born on February 16, 1958 in Newark, New Jersey. After his father's death the young rapper moved to Los Angeles, California to live with his aunt who lived in the South Los Angeles district of Crenshaw a.k.a "South Central". He became a member of the West Side Rollin 30s Original Harlem Crips.
In 1979, after graduating high school Ice-T joined the Army. In 1983, he left the army and returned to South Central and he started to pursue his rapping career. It was tough for Ice-T, he started the street life as a jewel thief and pimp. In 1985, he was involved in a car crash, Ice-T then committed himself to music after.
In 1987, he signed in with Sire Record, releasing his debut album, Rhyme Pays. He was supported by DJ Aladdin and producer Afrika Islam who helped him make his album reach the gold status. In 1988, Ice-T released his follow-up album, Power. The album was another big succes earning him strong reviews, it eventually went gold. The following year, The Iceberg/Freedom of Speech...Just Watch What You Say was issued, making him a real hip-hop icon. His lyrics was said to be abrasive music with fierce, intelligent narratives, and political commentaries, especially about hip-hop censorship.
Ice-T expanded his horizon and started acting. He made his debut on the film New Jack City. Ice-T recorded "New Jack Hustler" for the film. The single was included in his 1991 album, O.G.: Original Gangster. The rapper featured "Body Count" a metal track which gained him alternative music fans. In 1993, Ice-T released Home Invasion. In 1996, the rapper returned with VI: Return Of The Real. The album was Ice-T's first rap album. In 1999, 7th Deadly Sin hit stands.

Ice-T is one of the most smooth spoken hip hop artist in the music industry. His compositions talks about ghetto and gangsta life. Through his Body Count album, he gained a number of white teenage fans.
