About

Pop singer Howie Day was born Howard Kern Day on January 15, 1981 in Bangor, Maine. At the age of 14 years old, Day learned how to play the guitar. His first gig was at Captain Nick's and two year later he started touring for his independent debut album. Day is a mixture of the bands Radiohead and Dave Mathews but still added his own flavor. Without the support of major record labels the determined pop singer continued his tours. He was the opening act for a number of bands like Wallflowers, Shawn Mullins, Remy Zero and David Gray.

In 2000, Day released Australia, it made its way to Sony. The record label polished Australia and re-released it on June 2000. The exposure of his single "Ghost" at a modern rock radio station made it a minor hit. In 2003, he issued The Madrigals, it was a first official Sony bow. In 2005, a more mature album was released by Day, When Stop All The World Now. It had it share of hit singles like "Perfect Time of Day" and "Collide". Later that year, Live From..., hit stands.
