About
Early Career in Music
Born John Howard Jones on February 23, 1955 in Southampton, England. He started playing the piano at two years old and performing at local venues in High Wycombe at fifteen. His story on how he came to music was partly influenced by his wife, who is his former piano student. While driving, both were involved on an accident where his wife claimed compensation to buy him a synthesiser and a Moog Prodigy. This is his love for music started.
During a well acclaimed musical session with John Peel he garnered support slots for China Crisis and OMD before signing to WEA in the summer of 1983. The record company released his debut single "New Song" and spotted top five at the UK charts and top ten at the US singles chart. Over the next twelve months, he released his debut album Human's Lib and quickly gained fame and popularity. Fans base increased vastly.
On 1985 he also release his second album Dream Into Action which was also an instant hit.
Independent Producer
On 1992, just after the released of his fifth studio album In The Running, he was released by his record label. The incident prompted to start his own record company, Dtox and focus on producing albums by himself.

Reviews
Howard Jones' pop rock music seems to be as tasty as his vegetarian restaurant called Nowhere. Starting from the released of his first single "New Song" it shares the same music passion as his wife's passion on giving him the synthesizer and Moog Prodigy. His debut Human's Lib album who happens to have spotted number 1 in the UK albums chart seems to be like the foundation on his career staying happily on the records similar with his family whom they lived a happy life together currently at Somerset. -- Ericgo 04:01, 20 February 2007 (PST)
