About
It was in 2002 that the Oklahoma-based post-grunge/rock band was formed with an enjoined vision to persuade the subtle things in life such as drugs, sex, and most particularly rock and roll and these things were viewed as anything bad, but a part of everyone's life.
The band came together in a college dorm party when Austin Winkler was still singing for a cover band. Joe Garvey and Cody Hanson both were blown away of the voice and charisma that Austin possesed. And from there, a group of young minds dedicated to the rebirth of meaningful rock music started.
The band has transparently presented realities in life that was not too deep nor too shallow, and finally achieved their goal of being a rock band that was not about all the dark lyrics that was all metaphorical and analytic, but a band that simply wanted to convey the things that mattered to them.
"Get Stoned", the band's first single is already taking space in the hit charts even before it was released and peaked at number 4 of the US Mainstream Rock charts. The said song came from Hinder's album "Extreme Behavior".
The band indeed surpassed their personal expectations with their chart topping songs and albums. It does not take too musch effort to make beautiful music, all it takes is honesty and enjoyment.
